I am planning to buy used Fiat palio by next month from my relative.He is having both petrol and diesel car.The car's fuel pump in under repair.Can fuel pump of Petrol/diseal cars can be repaired ?

The fuel pump of the petrol car can not be repaired and needs to be replaced.But diesel FIP can be repaired,depending upon its make.
