In an attempt to support production at its underutilized Indiana plant, Toyota is likely to start exporting vehicles to the Middle East and China. Toyota had reportedly slowed down production at its Indian and Texas light trucks plants because of the decline in the demand for larger vehicles in the US, following the rise in fuel prices. It is claimed that the Japanese car maker will start shipping the Sequoia sport utility vehicles to the Middle East later in 2008 and the Sienna minivan to China by 2010. Both the models are manufactured at the company's Indiana factory.
